The XPS34 high-sensitivity steam pressure-reducing valve operates as a pilot-operated, piston-type pressure reducer, combining the actions of two components: the main valve and the pilot valve.

The pilot valve comprises components such as the valve seat, valve flap, diaphragm, spring, and adjusting spring.

How High-Sensitivity PRV Works:

The outlet pressure is initially set by adjusting the pressure of the adjusting spring. Once steam enters the system, the diaphragm detects variations in outlet pressure with high sensitivity. Any fluctuation in the outlet pressure triggers the pilot valve to open or close. That depends on the pressure change instructions transmitted via the diaphragm. This action drives the piston to regulate the throttling area of the main valve.
For instance, when the outlet pressure decreases, the reduced pressure beneath the diaphragm increases the pilot valve opening. This allows more steam to enter above the piston, pushing the piston downward, enlarging the main valve opening, increasing steam flow, and restoring outlet pressure to the set point.

Conversely, when the outlet pressure rises, increased pressure below the diaphragm causes the pilot valve to close. This reduces steam pressure above the piston, allowing the piston to move upward under spring action, decreasing the main valve opening, reducing steam flow, and lowering the outlet pressure for stable and efficient operation.

By enlarging the piston area and improving both the pilot valve structure and the adjusting spring design, the XPS34 ensures precise detection of even minor outlet pressure fluctuations. This enhanced sensitivity minimizes deviations caused by variables such as upstream pressure or flow changes, maintaining the outlet pressure within a narrow, stable range around the setpoint.

2.Low-Noise Operation

The reduced noise during operation results from a redesigned throttling structure and optimized steam flow streamlining. This minimizes turbulence and impact within the valve, creating a quieter working environment. Additionally, reduced flow turbulence minimizes wear and prolongs equipment longevity.

3.Extended Service Life

The sealing structures have been upgraded, and high-quality materials are selected for durability. And key components are engineered with specialized materials, which including:
• Valve seat and valve flap made from 2Cr13.
• Cylinder liner and piston crafted from aluminum-iron bronze.
• Diaphragm constructed from PH15-7Mo.
• Piston ring fabricated from P-polyphenylene.
These material enhancements ensure long-term sealing performance, wear resistance, and reduced maintenance frequency and costs.
